Cambridge Correlators develop and supply high-speed, high-resolution data comparison engines and solutions based on their patented optical correlator technology.
We are currently launching our first Fourier Optics Experimenter and are in the process of forging commercial partnerships to produce novel solutions in a range of industry areas.
A range of high power correlator systems will become available soon for custom solution development and immediate customer and OEM use.
We also now sell the liquid crystal microdisplays used in our FOE kits in a low cost package.
See our Products page for more information.
Optical Computing has long been heralded as the solution to the world’s thirst for data processing. As physical limits are approached and power requirements become ever more impractical, electronic processing begins to show its limitations.
Optical processing uses the fastest medium there is to perform the same calculations electronic systems grind away at – light. The CCL technology makes use of diffraction theory to perform optical Fourier Transforms – highly processor intensive calculations, at the speed of light.
Our products are coupled with expert consultancy and technical support to bring the power of optical processing to the commercial marketplace at costs previously unheard of for optical systems. Our technology can be used as the basis for a custom solution, or provide step increases in processing power to existing systems for OEM customers.
